Welcome to ETEI Dharmagarh

Govt. Secondary Training School, Dharmagarh under Kalahandi District. It is one of the oldest Teacher Training Institutions in the State of Odisha established in 1962 as the Govt. ET Training school with an aim to produce teachers for elementary level schools. Then name changed to ST School in 1973 .The course was CT course with a student enrollment capacity 50 in each year i.e. 1st year and 2nd year. The course duration is 2 years. In 2014 by a revised recognition order issued  by NCTE . ERC the student enrollment capacity has been increased to 100 for each year. The nomenclature has been changed viz. the course name D.El. ED. Instead of CT and school name GOVT. ETEI instead of ST School. However the course duration is 2 years.The student enrollment for each year has been increased  to 100. It is only to offer the pre-service D.EL. ED. programme. It is governed by NCTE Regulation regarding staff pattern, infrastructure, academic and other activities. However  in respect to examination it is affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education , Odisha , Cutttack.

Each year after the completion of academic session Board examination is conducted and   division is awarded after completion of the final year exam.

The students after passing this D.El.Ed. exam are  certified by the BSEO, Cuttack and then they become eligible to be engaged as elementary school teacher .

It is entirely funded by State Govt. It Receives funds from the state Govt. only towards staff salaries and civil works  .
